Department: Manufacturing Engineering – What you’ll do - Disposition discrepant photolithography material quickly and react to priority lot holds - Respond to out-of-control events by following established OCAPs - Analyze failed runs to find the source of process errors; work with Engineering to recommend process changes - Support new equipment qualification - Assist in developing key technologies - Contribute to continuous improvement projects in yield, operational efficiency and cost Required - AA in science, math or a related field, OR equivalent experience as a Process Specialist - Working knowledge of SPC and statistics - Strong written and verbal communication (works across multiple manufacturing sections) - Technical writing, computers, problem solving and organization Preferred - Self-disciplined and highly motivated - Handles multiple high-priority projects and tasks - Knowledge of semiconductor processing, especially photolithography - Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
This is a PROCESS technician, not equipment maintenance: rate up photolithography process techs, process specialists and lithography engineering techs who disposition material, run OCAPs, analyze failed lots and use SPC. Semiconductor fab experience required. Photolithography (coat/develop tracks, steppers/scanners, CD/overlay metrology) is a plus, NOT a must-have (client confirmed 10/22); don’t mark candidates down for lacking litho or specific tool brands. Must have an AA in science/math/related OR clear equivalent process-specialist experience. Working SPC and statistics knowledge is required. Pure operators who only run lots and don’t analyze or disposition are a weak fit (3 or lower). Must be OK with permanent night shift (6 PM–6 AM, Thu–Sat + every other Wed). Strong communicators and technical writers rate higher. Pay goes up to $50/hr, so experienced process techs and early-career engineers are within range.
