Job summary

Micron Technology in Boise, ID is seeking a Manufacturing Development Engineering (MDE) Shift Engineer in Photolithography to lead off-hours development activities and ensure uninterrupted process development for next-generation DRAM. This role operates on a 12-hour rotating shift schedule and acts as the primary technical authority for development experiments.

You will apply SPC, DOE, E3 FD systems, and data analytics to accelerate learning cycles, address deviations, and support Micron's

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or Bachelor's with semiconductor experience.
  • Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift including nights/weekends/holidays.
  • Understanding of photolithography and semiconductor manufacturing principles.
  • Knowledge of SPC, DOE, E3 FD systems and data-driven decisions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as off-hours technical authority for development activities and dispositioning wafers.
  • Collaborate with Photolithography Process Development, Process Integration, Equipment Development, Manufacturing and Shift Operations.
  • Apply SPC, E3 FD, DOE and data analysis to investigate excursions and improve yield.
  • Maintain documentation, change control and clear communication of safety/yield issues.
  • Support continuous improvement, PMI data collection, audits and best-known methods.
  • Use model-based problem solving, analytics and AI tools to improve decisions.
