Job summary

Rock Island Auction Company in Bedford, TX is seeking a Photography Technician to capture high quality images of auction inventory across our facility. You will operate multiple photo stations and ensure images meet internal standards for RIAC's online platform and marketing materials.

The role requires a High school diploma, reliability, attention to detail, and ability to work overtime, including auction weekends.

Description

Photography Tech I plays a critical role for capturing quality photographs of inventory for the production of the On Time auctions. This role may move or handle inventory throughout Rock Island Auction Company’s (RIAC) facility.

Essential Job Functions
  • Operates multiple photo stations to produce photos of various types of firearms and non-firearm items which meets established internal quality standards and expectations.
  • Handles inventory items safely for proper setting in photo station.
  • Meets established departmental production goals consistently in order to achieve auction deadlines.
  • Prioritizes regulatory compliance and demonstrates integrity.
  • Works expected overtime and required auction weekends (approximately 6 per year).
  • Demonstrates reliability, commitment, and effective collaboration in order to successfully achieve assigned tasks and goals.
  • Completes other duties, as assigned.

  • Reads, writes, speaks, and understands English fluently.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain active FOID card (Illinois residents only).
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • Prior relevant work experience with production, warehouse, supply chain management, inventory, material handling, or other related field highly preferred.
  • Basic proficiency using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) required.
Requirements

Constant standing (or stationary work) for prolonged periods up to 100% of the time with occasional ascending, descending, or positioning self to move and handle inventory items up to 50 pounds. Must be able to constantly communicate and exchange accurate information. Must be able to detect, identify, inspect, observe, perceive and assess production tasks, processes, and procedures. Occasionally operates and uses computer and other relevant equipment and office machinery. Constantly works with and around firearms, bladed weaponry, and valuable collectibles.

Summary

Rock Island Auction Company(RIAC), the #1 firearms auction house in the world, is searching for professional and reliable Photography Technician. Responsible for driving our online presence to the highest number of potential consignors and clients, the photography technician spends much of the day capturing high quality images of auction items for use across RIAC'S digital platform and marketing materials.
RIAC standard hours of operations are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. CST with weekly pay every Thursday.
