Job description

Loloi Rugs is a leading textile brand that designs and crafts rugs, pillows, and throws for the thoughtfully layered home. Family-owned and led since 2004, Loloi is growing more quickly than ever. To date, we’ve expanded our diverse team to hundreds of employees, invested in multiple distribution facilities, introduced thousands of products, and earned the respect and business of retailers and designers worldwide. A testament to our products and our team, Loloi has earned the ARTS Award for “Best Rug Manufacturer” in 2010, 2011, 2015, 2016, 2018, 2023, and 2025.

Loloi Rugs is seeking a Photography Intern for the 2026/2027 school year to commit up to 20 hours weekly in our in-house photography studios for a 3-month period.

This paid internship offers a unique opportunity to learn what it's like to work as part of an in-house creative team supporting both B2B and DTC businesses. You'll gain hands‑on experience working in Product Photography while seeing how the work supports product development, merchandising, marketing, e‑commerce, and sales.

Working alongside our Studio Photography teams, you'll assist with studio production, lighting, equipment organization, and samples management. Beyond developing technical photography skills, you'll also gain valuable insight into how a creative department operates within a growing business.

If you're excited to learn, willing to work hard, and interested in building a career in Photography or Creative Production, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Learn

Throughout this internship, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Learn studio lighting techniques for product photography.
  • Learn how to safely set up, break down, and maintain photography equipment.
  • Assist with photographing home furnishings including rugs, pillows, and art.
  • Observe how photography supports both wholesale (B2B) and direct‑to‑consumer (DTC) businesses.
  • Gain exposure to e‑commerce photography standards and workflows.
  • Understand the product lifecycle—from product development to photography to landing in the hands of a customer.
  • Shadow photographers, producers, art directors, production assistants, and other creative professionals across multiple disciplines.
  • Develop an understanding of how creative work supports larger business goals.
What You Bring

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Interested and pursuing a career in photography, interior design, e-commerce, creative production, or visual storytelling.
  • Curious about how businesses operate and how creative teams contribute to business goals.
  • Open to coaching, constructive feedback, and interested in learning hands‑on from a group of creative professionals.
  • Seeking meaningful mentorship and professional growth.
  • Positive, adaptable, and eager to help wherever needed.
Education/Experience
  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program studying Photography, Visual Arts, Design, Marketing, Communications, or a similar field.
  • Available up to 20 hours per week (2–3 days) during the internship and can commit to a minimum of 3 months.
