Job summary

Loloi Rugs in Dallas, TX is seeking a photography specialist to capture in-studio product images and support retouching workflows. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, travel about 15%, and collaboration with the studio team and art directors.

You will split time between studio shoots, location assisting, and retouching, with a bachelor's in visual communication or photography and 1–2+ years in a commercial studio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in visual communication, Photography, or related field required.
• 1–2+ years in a commercial photography studio or agency setting.
• Strong technical knowledge of lighting, cameras, and file management.
• Proficiency in Capture One and Photoshop.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Capture in-studio product photography following brand guidelines.
• Retouch product images and ensure color accuracy.
• Organize and manage files within the studio/retouching workflow.
• Set up and break down lighting, staging, and equipment.
• Assist with product staging, preparation, and packing.
• Maintain, clean, and organize studio spaces and equipment.
• Update project management software with project status.
• Collaborate with art directors and other departments to meet deadlines.
• Assist on location shoots with lighting and setup; travel ~15%.
• Work distribution: ~55% in-studio shooting, ~15% location assisting, ~30% retouching.

Please note, this role is based on-site 5 days a week in our headquarter office in Farmers Branch.

Responsibilities

• Capture in-studio product photography; maintaining a high-quality standard and ensuring images adhere to Loloi’s brand guidelines.
• Retouch product images and ensure proper product color
• Organize and manage files as part of the studio/retouching workflow.
• Set up and break down lighting, staging, and equipment for shoots
• Assist with product staging, preparation, and packing
• Maintain, clean, and organize all studio spaces and equipment
• Update project management software regularly with project status
• Work closely with the studio team to meet deadlines, including collaborating with art directors and other departments
• Assist the photography team on location shoots—handling lighting, equipment setup/breakdown, and onsite problem solving.
• Travel Required: Expect periodic travel (≈ 15% of your time)
• Time Allocation: Roughly 55 % in studio shooting, 15 % location assisting, and 30 % retouchingacross projects.

Experience, Skills, & Ability Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in visual communication, Photography, or related field required
• 1–2+ years of experience in a commercial photography studio or agency setting
• Strong technical knowledge of lighting, digital cameras, and file management best practices
• Proficiency in Capture One and Adobe Photoshop
• Detail-oriented with an eye for color accuracy and image consistency
• Strong communicator and reliable team player with a positive attitude
• Able to take direction and work independently
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs. and standing for extended periods
• Previous experience in home goods/decor a plus
• Must be in or willing to relocate to Dallas, TX
