Job summary

Tower Semiconductor Ltd. is seeking an Equipment Engineering Technician for Photo processes in Newport Beach, CA.

The role involves hands-on maintenance of i-line, DUV, Track, and scrubber photo equipment, with emphasis on root-cause analysis and continuous improvement of PM procedures. You will work independently with minimal supervision, troubleshoot down to the component level, and collaborate with vendor teams.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in Electronics.
• 3+ years in semiconductor maintenance, specifically photolithography tools and metrology.
• Experience with Canon i3/i4/i5, ES4/ES5 and ASML PAS5500.
• Metrology tool experience (KLA SP1, F5x, RS-100) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute complex preventive maintenance on i-line, DUV, Track, and scrubber Photo Equipment per PM sheets.
• Perform root cause analysis on machinery issues and implement solutions.
• Identify resources and deliver creative, effective results.
• Improve PM procedures and check sheets to minimize downtime.
• Support overlay, SEM, inline, thin film and metrology recovery efforts as needed.
• Participate in cross-functional problem-solving teams for Photo Equipment, Process, and Metrology.
• Collect performance data and work with Engineering to resolve failures.
• Deliver equipment-specific training to junior technicians.
• Collaborate with vendor support to resolve issues.
• Diagnose and repair equipment down to component level.
• Exercise sound judgment, complete assignments, and make recommendations.
• Lead or direct ERT and Safety events when supervision is absent.
• Ensure consumables are ordered and stocked to minimize MTTR.
• Operate with minimal management oversight in daily routines.
