Job summary

Tower Semiconductor Ltd. in Newport Beach, CA is seeking an Equipment Engineer to join our world-class Equipment Engineering organization.

You will support and optimize tools in the Photo/Metrology area and lead maintenance activities to improve equipment performance and reliability. Collaborating with Process, Production, Procurement and Facilities teams, you will drive cost-saving projects, document procedures, and mentor technicians while meeting ISO requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent work experience.
• 2 - 5 years of experience supporting and maintaining Semiconductor Equipment, with strong problem solving, and troubleshooting skills to a component level on KLA
• F5/F5x, KLA SP1, AMAT Verity SEM, AMAT NanoSEM and/or ASML PAS5500 I-line/DUV systems Experience on KLA SP1, Surfscan 6400/6420, RS-75/RS-100 is a plus.
• In depth knowledge of equipment functionality, subcomponents, control circuit, and its process parameters is required.
• Thorough knowledge of measurement instrumentations, electro-mechanical devices, vacuum systems, Robotics/Sensors, and strong engineering/Technology skills is a must.
• Must have the ability to conduct data and statistical analysis to evaluate equipment performance.
• Strong leadership and computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Support and optimize tools in the Photo/Metrology area.
• Lead maintenance activities on assigned equipment.
• Drive cost saving projects and on-time improvements.
• Collaborate with Process, Production, Procurement, and Facility groups.
• Provide leadership and guidance to technicians.
• Prepare monthly maintenance and project activity reports.
• Travel to domestic and international Tower sites as needed.
