Job summary

Behavioral Health Network, Inc. in Ware, MA seeks a part-time, phone-based Domestic Violence Advocate to support survivors in a rural Western Massachusetts setting.

You will provide crisis intervention by phone, offer referrals to community services, deliver safety planning and risk assessments, and maintain case management with dedicated training. Per diem shifts include weekday evenings and weekends; the role offers a $23.75 per hour rate with hybrid work options within BHN’s HEART culture.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• At least 1 year of experience in human services, mental health, social services, or case management.
• Knowledge of Massachusetts domestic violence laws 20J & 20K is required.
• Valid Massachusetts driver’s license and car available if needed.
• Ability to commute to Ware, MA and/or Northampton, MA within 30 minutes.

Responsibilities

• Provide victim support and crisis intervention via phone.
• Offer problem solving and referrals to community services for survivors.
• Provide education about dynamics of abuse.
• Provide safety planning and risk assessments, emotional support, and case management.
• Receive special training for this position.
• Be available to respond following a domestic violence incident.
