Job summary

Alstom in Phoenix, AZ seeks a General Manager to lead site operations, safety, and performance. You will be the primary contact for the customer and oversee a team, subcontractors, and vendors to deliver reliable rail services across the area.

You will drive safety culture, continuous improvement, and workforce development while coordinating with transit agencies, regulators, and the customer to meet service commitments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Minimum five years’ experience managing a light rail operation.
• Minimum ten years’ experience managing projects of similar size in a light rail or commuter transit environment.
• Proven leadership in safety, efficiency, reliability, and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Extensive knowledge of state and local regulations and labor relations in a collective bargaining environment.

Responsibilities

• Attend Authority Board meetings regularly and participate in performance reviews.
• Lead site management, safety, financial, and customer service objectives.
• Interface with the customer, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders.
• Oversee operations across Phoenix, Tempe, and Mesa rail services.
• Manage direct reports, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure best value.
• Develop programs and procedures for safety, scheduling, and training.
