Job summary

Emerson Hospital in Concord, MA, seeks a Phlebotomy Training Coordinator to lead onboarding and training for phlebotomy staff across laboratory and clinical areas. You will ensure adherence to protocols, maintain training materials, and support daily phlebotomy operations.

You will guide new hires, track competency, and collaborate with laboratory leadership to maintain high-quality patient care, staff readiness, and efficient workflows in inpatient, outpatient, and ED settings.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Train and onboard new phlebotomists across laboratory services and clinical departments.
• Develop and manage individualized training schedules and onboarding plans.
• Coordinate hands-on training in outpatient settings, inpatient units, and ED.
• Collaborate with leadership to support training in systems and workflows.
• Develop and maintain training materials and competency checklists.
• Monitor progress and provide ongoing coaching to trainees.
• Maintain training records and sign-off documents.
• Identify performance gaps and coordinate retraining as needed.
• Lead training QA sessions and resolve workflow challenges.
• Support development of future trainers within the team.
