Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking staff to support blood collection operations in the New Jersey area. You will assist with the collection process, transport and set up equipment, and help maintain a welcoming environment for donors while strictly following safety procedures.

Paid phlebotomy training is provided to grow your healthcare skills within the organization. Starting pay is $21.19 per hour with a variable schedule that may include mornings, evenings, weekends and some overnight travel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required.
• A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.
• Basic computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with every step of the blood collection process at donation sites.
• Transport and set up equipment, ensuring a welcoming environment for donors.
• Follow safety procedures to ensure lifesaving blood donations are delivered to hospitals.
