Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking individuals in Fairfield, New Jersey for phlebotomy support roles. No prior medical experience is required as paid phlebotomy training is provided, and staff assist with donor interactions and the blood collection process at community sites.

Candidates must reside in Northern New Jersey and meet schedule flexibility requirements. A valid driver’s license is required along with basic computer skills; benefits and competitive compensation are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills required.
• A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.
• Physical requirements may include lifting, pushing or pulling heavy weights and long irregular hours.

Responsibilities

• Take the time to personally connect with donors and explain the impact of their donation.
• Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming environment for donors.
• Ensure blood collected meets goals and regulatory requirements for safety.
• May drive Red Cross vehicles and assist with setup/teardown at donation sites.
