Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking individuals to assist with blood collection operations in Northern New Jersey. Paid phlebotomy training is provided, with opportunity to grow healthcare skills within the nation’s leading humanitarian organization.

Responsibilities include donor engagement, site setup, and adherence to safety procedures. Flexible hours and on-site work at collection sites support community donors and hospitals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required.
• A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.
• Physical requirements may include lifting, pushing or pulling heavy weights, and long hours with schedule changes; minimum height of 60 inches may be required to operate vehicles.
• Basic computer skills are required; proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Take time to personally connect with donors and explain how your donation helps those in need.
• Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming environment for donors.
• Be detail-oriented to ensure blood collection meets goals, regulatory requirements, and transfusion safety.
