Job summary

The American Red Cross in Newark, OH seeks a phlebotomist to join our fixed-site team, using healthcare and customer service skills to assist with the blood collection process. Paid training provided, no prior medical experience required.

You will work 4 x 10 hour shifts, rotating weekends, with a starting rate of $20.29/hour and a comprehensive benefits package. Prior phlebotomy or healthcare experience is a plus; associates degree or equivalent work experience acceptable.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of customer service experience in a public setting.
• Ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights and stand for long periods.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the blood collection process at fixed-site locations.
• Create a welcoming and comfortable environment for donor volunteers.
• Follow safety procedures and regulatory requirements to ensure safe transfusion of blood products.
