Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy Technician experience required.
• Certification preferred or in progress.
• Graduate of accredited phlebotomy program with clinical rotation preferred.
• Experience in a high-volume lab environment preferred.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collection procedures and venipuncture.
• Maintain log sheets for samples.
• Verify orders and patient identification before collection.
• Label specimens and transport to processing area.
• Process specimens and perform release/ship-ready tasks.
• Transport blood and supplies between locations.
• Assist patients to feel comfortable and maintain professionalism.
