Job summary

Jobtailor in Kentucky is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to perform phlebotomy and a variety of technical and clerical tasks in the Laboratory. You will handle specimens, assist clinicians, and support routine lab procedures rooted in growth and development principles.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED and a valid driver's license. Experience in phlebotomy or specimen processing (6 months to 1 year) is preferred, and you will train new staff while maintaining safety and infection

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates the ability to perform phlebotomy and a variety of technical and clerical functions in the Laboratory.
• Performs routine laboratory procedures based on principles of human growth and development.
• Handles blood, tissue, fecal matter, sputum, urine, spinal fluid and other body fluids.
• Adheres to Safety and Infection Control practices.
• Provides customer service to clinicians and clients.
• Trains new employees and students.
• Maintains competencies and mandatory required education (ACE).
