Qualifications

• Minimum - High School diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred - Two years of college with a major in biological sciences, chemistry or equivalent preferred.
• A minimum of one year experience working in a clinical laboratory or anatomic pathology lab preferred.
• California Phlebotomy Certification - CPTI or CPTII required.
• Must successfully complete and maintain BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Draw blood and collect specimens from patients, ensuring proper labeling.
• Process and handle specimens according to laboratory procedures.
• Maintain a safe, organized work environment following policies.
• Assist with clerical tasks and phone communications with hospital staff.
• Ensure proper patient identification and documentation.
