Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician in Edina, MN (Mon–Fri, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM) with rotating weekend duties. You will collect blood and perform point-of-care testing, drawing from adults and children while following aseptic techniques and safety standards.

At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience is required, including pediatric and geriatric collections; a high school diploma is required and phlebotomy certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collects blood and/or perform POC as assigned.
• Draws venous or capillary blood from newborn through geriatric patients using proper aseptic collection techniques.
• Draws and delivers (where applicable) all blood work within established departmental policy time frames.
• Performs and processes all POC tests on patients ranging from newborn to geriatrics.
• Reports incidents/issues regarding patients or employees timely to group leader or supervisor.
