Quest Diagnostics Eden Prairie, MN is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to collect venous and capillary blood from patients of all ages on a Monday to Friday schedule, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with rotational weekends. The role includes performing POC tests and delivering timely lab specimens.

Pay ranges from $23.00 to $28.00 per hour with eligibility for annual bonus and a broad benefits package. High school diploma and phlebotomy training are required or preferred where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (CA, NV, WA).

Responsibilities

• Collects blood and/or performs POC as assigned.
• Cleans and restocks POC supplies and prepares phlebotomy carts/trays.
• Assists coworkers with draws and POC testing.
• Draws venous or capillary blood from newborn through geriatric patients using proper aseptic technique.
• Draws and delivers blood work within established departmental policy time frames.
• Performs and processes all POC tests on patients ranging from newborn to geriatrics.
• Completes clerical functions associated with POC testing documents.
• Reports incidents/issues to group leader or supervisor.
