Millennium Physician Group in Fort Myers, FL is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform routine blood collection and prepare samples for testing. You will verify patient identities, label specimens, and maintain safety and accuracy in a fast-paced clinic setting.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification or MA certification or phlebotomy program certificate.
• 1+ year of experience in a lab setting.
• Know labeling/ID protocol and common lab tests and vacutainers.
• Adhere to Biohazard and OSHA safety regulations in medical offices.

Responsibilities

• Perform painless venipuncture and capillary puncture as required.
• Identify patients following protocol and label samples correctly.
• Prepare samples with correct labeling and barcodes for processing.
• Reconcile daily outstanding sample reports and maintain clean work area.
• Observe safety procedures and provide quality guest service.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
