Job summary

Millennium Physician Group is seeking a Phlebotomist II for our Port Charlotte, FL clinic. You will draw blood, verify patient records, and prepare specimens for testing while maintaining sample integrity and safety.

Responsibilities include venipuncture, labeling with barcodes, assisting front desk after training, and supporting a fast-paced team. Requires phlebotomy certification and 2+ years of lab experience.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification or MA certification required.
• 2+ years of laboratory experience.
• Knowledge of labeling/ID protocols and common lab tests.
• Familiar with Biohazard, OSHA safety regulations.
• Ability to interpret miscellaneous orders.
• Ability to guide and observe new phlebotomists.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs painless venipuncture and capillary puncture.
• Identifies patient following protocol.
• Prepares samples with correct labeling and barcodes.
• Reconciles day’s end sample report.
• Observes safety procedures and sample prep.
• Supports and guides day-to-day activities.
