Job summary

The American Red Cross in Bend, Oregon is seeking team members to support the blood collection process. You will work with donors, transport and set up equipment, and ensure a welcoming, safe environment while collecting lifesaving donations.

The role includes paid phlebotomy training, no prior medical experience required, and opportunities to grow within the nation's largest humanitarian network. A valid driver's license, good driving record, and a flexible schedule (including weekends) are

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required.
• A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.
• Physical requirements may include the ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights and stand for long periods, with potential minimum height of 60 inches.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications is expected.

Responsibilities

• Take the time to personally connect with donors and explain the impact of their donation.
• Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming environment for donors to return.
• Be detail oriented to ensure collected blood meets goals and regulatory requirements.
• May drive Red Cross vehicles and assist with setup/teardown at donation sites; minimum height of 60 inches may be required.
