Job summary

The American Red Cross in Bend, Oregon is seeking a phlebotomy-ready team member to support blood collection operations and donor care. Paid phlebotomy training is provided to grow healthcare skills within the nation’s top humanitarian organization.

You will connect with donors, maintain a welcoming environment, and follow safety procedures while collecting lifesaving donations. A valid driver's license and strong customer service are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required.
• A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.

Responsibilities

• Take the time to personally connect with donors – listen to their stories and help them understand how impactful their donation is.
• Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming and friendly environment so our volunteer donors feel comfortable coming back again.
• Be detailed oriented all day, every day to ensure the blood you collect meets goals and regulatory requirements.
• May drive Red Cross vehicles and assist with setup/teardown at donation sites.
