As a Phlebotomy Technician at the Kinsman Medical Outpatient Center, you are an integral member of the Medical Laboratory Team. Many patients find needles and blood draws intimidating. Using your experience and skills, you can help put the patient at ease while obtaining required specimens. You will also have access to numerous educational and professional development resources offered by Cleveland Clinic, including online courses and in-person trainings.

Work hours: Days from 7:30AM – 4:00PM or 8:00AM - 4:30PM.

A successful caregiver in this role will:

1. Perform blood collection procedures, follow venipuncture protocols, and maintain logs.
2. Verify order requests and identify patient information prior to specimen collection.
3. Label specimens and deliver them to the processing area.
4. Perform specimen processing tasks, including accessioning, centrifugation, and packaging.
5. Transport blood, other samples, and lab supplies.

Minimum qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Proficiency with standard procedures and techniques
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a team environment

Preferred qualifications:

• Formal Phlebotomy Certification
