Responsibilities

• Obtains blood specimens from patients of all ages by venipuncture, finger stick, and/or heel stick according to policy.
• Follows patient safety goals, identifies patients using two identifiers, and communicates professionally.
• Greets patients and demonstrates empathy and strong interpersonal skills.
• Collects and processes specimens following order of draw and test priority.
• Maintains inventory, logs, and data entry for laboratory records and reports.
