Qualifications

• 1 year phlebotomy experience in acute care or equivalent.
• HS diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy Technician certificate(s) CA preferred.
• SCPMG Regional Reference Lab not require phlebotomy certification.
• Preferred college courses in life sciences.
• Scheduled hours per week: 20; travel to OCI & South OC MOB labs; part-time; schedule may vary.

Responsibilities

• Performs venipuncture and finger/heel sticks as required across ages.
• Label samples accurately and transport to lab.
• Perform pre-analytical steps including bar coding, centrifuging, logging, and staining.
• Maintain supplies and inventory; ensure courteous patient interactions.
• Follow directives from supervisors and assume additional duties as needed.
