Job summary

Qualifications

• 1 year phlebotomy experience in an acute care medical center or similar setting.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• California Phlebotomy Technician I/II certificate (CA) or equivalent preferred/required per note.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and finger/heel sticks on patients of all ages.
• Label samples accurately and transport to the laboratory.
• Follow Kaiser Permanente policies and maintain courteous, professional conduct.
• Handle pre- and post-analytical steps, including labeling, logging and specimen processing.
• Maintain inventory levels and support department operations as needed.
