Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 or older as required by state law.
• Phlebotomy program completion or related experience.
• Phlebotomy certification per state regulations.
• Possession of a valid state driver’s license may be required.
• DHS Fingerprinting certification or ability to obtain.
• Flexibility to work at multiple sites and cover shifts.
• Willingness to travel to mobile and office locations as needed.
• Career ladder progression based on local requirements.

Responsibilities

• Specimen collection with correct patient and specimen ID and integrity.
• Enter and verify demographics, tests, and requisitions for processing and billing.
• Label, aliquot specimens and prepare for transport; assist in processing.
• Monitor workflow, maintain quality and participate in quality improvement.
• Participate in cost-control and accept department responsibilities.
• Communicate professionally with internal/external customers and uphold HIPAA.
