The ideal candidate has phlebotomy training, prior experience, and the ability to verify orders, coordinate with clinicians, and maintain biohazard safety while supporting multiple locations in the region.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomist must enter patient data and tests into LIS; verify demographics and insurance match EMR.
• Phlebotomist performs venipuncture with up to two attempts; collects swabs for MRSA, Flu, Strep.
• Follow lab workflow from order entry to sample transport and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Enter patient information into LIS and ensure tests are ordered correctly.
• Verify patient identity and insurance details before testing.
• Review orders in EMR Link and Orchard Harvest for accuracy and completeness.
• Label tubes with initials and transport specimens to the lab within required time frames.
• Stock phlebotomy stations and maintain a clean, organized work area.
