Genesis HealthCare System's Genesis Hospital in Zanesville, OH seeks a Phlebotomist Technician for day shift, full-time. You will perform phlebotomy, handle specimens, and support specimen testing and clerical tasks in a patient-focused, regulated lab environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED (or current student with phlebotomy training), CPR certification, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, or current high school student with proof of completed phlebotomy training.
• Valid CPR certification or obtained within one year of employment.
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Ability to work independently and under pressure in a complex and changing working environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates excellence with listening, verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Perform phlebotomy following proper collection techniques and policy.
• Maintain knowledge of laboratory tests and test ordering codes.
• Process specimens while maintaining integrity per test requirements.
• Manage telecommunication operations, including wireless systems.
• Maintain records including chain of custody, release forms, consent forms, and lab reports.
• Comply with CAP, HFAP, OSHA and HIPAA regulations.
• Provide outstanding customer service to internal and external customers.
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
• Perform other functions as assigned.
