Huntsville Hospital seeks a phlebotomy technician to obtain blood specimens and deliver them to the laboratory. You will correctly identify patients and specimens and support maintaining strict confidentiality.

We value strong communication skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and adherence to safety protocols. MLA certification is preferred, with an associate degree in biology/chemistry advantageous, and CPR completion required by orientation.

Qualificações

• High School diploma or GED required.
• MLA certification from a nationally recognized credentialing agency preferred; Associates degree with biology and chemistry preferred.

MLA certification from a nationally recognized credentialing agency (i.e. ASCP or AMT) preferred. Associates Degree with a minimum of 6 semester hours of biology and 6 semester hours of chemistry preferred.

Experience

Previous work experience strongly preferred.

Additional Skills/Abilities

Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly. Must be able to maintain absolute confidentiality in the handling of patient information. Absolute integrity and accuracy in the patient identification process. Must complete HeartSaver CPR by the end of the orientation period.
