Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General's Bath Health and Wellness Center is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to join the Medical Laboratory Team. You will collect blood samples from patients, label specimens accurately, and ensure timely delivery to the processing area, while helping to ease anxious patients during draws.

The role is Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, with every 3rd Saturday 8:00 AM–12:00 PM. A High School Diploma or GED and phlebotomy proficiency are required; preferred candidates have

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Technical proficiency with standard phlebotomy procedures and practices.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collection procedures and venipuncture.
• Verify orders and identify information prior to drawing blood.
• Label specimens and deliver to processing area.
• Process specimens and complete related tasks (accessioning, centrifugation, packaging).
• Pickup and deliver blood, other samples and lab supplies.
