Job summary

Typical shift runs days from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. You will verify orders, label specimens, follow venipuncture procedures, greet patients, and coordinate with analytical staff to ensure timely processing and delivery.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Graduation from a phlebotomy program or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collection procedures and related tasks.
• Verify order requests and patient identifiers prior to drawing.
• Label specimens and deliver to the correct processing area.
• Follow venipuncture procedures and maintain logs.
• Greet patients professionally at check-in and during visits.
• Enter test requests and receipts in the lab computer.
• Process specimens and prepare for transport, including centrifugation.
• Communicate essential information to the lab team.
• Transport blood, specimens, and supplies to appropriate areas.
