Job summary

Valley Health System is seeking a phlebotomist to perform phlebotomy for in-office patients and manage test registration and processing. The role includes handling medical necessity and specimen requirements, plus assisting providers and patients by phone, fax or printout with test status and results.

The candidate should have at least 1 year of phlebotomy experience and strong customer service skills. ASCP certification is preferred, with opportunities across multiple VMG locations as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• A minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy experience required. Customer service experience preferred.
• ASCP certified preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy on in-office patients.
• Register, order tests, and determine medical necessity.
• Process specimens and provide customer service by addressing provider/patient inquiries via phone, fax or printer regarding test status, results or specimen requirements.
