Job summary

Archbold Medical Center in Camilla, GA seeks a dedicated phlebotomist to join our team, supporting patient care across our four-hospital system. You will perform patient identification, venipuncture and capillary collections, label specimens, process samples, and perform special phlebotomy procedures while complying with Laboratory Safety Policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• ASCP phlebotomy certification or AS degree in Medical Laboratory Technician preferred.
• At least one year phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Correctly performs patient identification, venipuncture/capillary collection technique, and specimen labeling.
• Performs specimen processing functions accurately and efficiently.
• Correctly performs special phlebotomy procedures.
• Demonstrates initiative and leadership qualities.
• Compliance with Laboratory Safety Policies & Procedures.
• Demonstrates adequate knowledge of hospital and laboratory computer systems.
