Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System is seeking a Phlebotomy Tech for its Baker City hospital. This full-time, 10-hour rotating shift role includes weekends and a rotating schedule. You will handle specimen collection, labeling, processing, and data entry, serving as the lab's central communications hub.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication skills, and knowledge of medical terminology. Phlebotomy certification is preferred, with hospital experience a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and hospital staff.
• Good working knowledge of medical terminology and computers.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Experience in phlebotomy in a hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register, collect, label, process, and distribute specimens for laboratory testing.
• Use computer systems and perform data entry for specimens and results.
• Serve as central communications for laboratory requests and reporting of results.
