Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System in Baker City, OR, seeks a Phlebotomy Tech for our hospital. This is a full-time 10-hour, mixed shift position with occasional weekends and rotating schedule.

You will perform specimen collection, labeling, processing, and data entry, serving as a central communications link for the laboratory. Prior phlebotomy experience in a hospital setting and good computer skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and hospital staff.
• Good working knowledge of medical terminology and computers.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Experience in phlebotomy in a hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• As a Phlebotomy Tech, perform specimen collection, labeling, processing, and distribution for laboratory testing.
• Utilize computer programs for data entry and maintain accurate records.
• Serve as central communications hub for laboratory requests and report results when available.
