Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System is seeking a Phlebotomy Tech to join Treasure Valley Labs. The role involves collecting blood, correctly identifying patients, and handling specimen processing across nine centers.

Shifts include full-time or part-time daytime schedules, with additional pay differentials for evenings, nights, and weekends. The position requires phlebotomy experience, strong communication, and comfort with hospital systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
• Good working knowledge of medical terminology and computers.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Experience in phlebotomy in a hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood samples and correctly identify patients.
• Transport specimens and perform related clerical and computer functions.
• Register, order, properly collect, label, process, and distribute specimens for testing.
• Utilize computer programs and perform data entry.
• Serve as central communication for laboratory requests and report results.
