Job summary

Qualifications

• Entry level; no experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Licensure from an accredited school of phlebotomy recommended.
• Current state licensure if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy and collects specimens as ordered.
• Maintains documentation per quality assurance programs and logs.
• Maintains inventory and ensures supplies are viable for patient collection.
• Sends specimens to reference labs for testing not done in house.
• Processes orders and reports for lab testing.
• Operates designated laboratory equipment and maintains work area.
• Performs waived lab testing under CLIA guidelines; records lot numbers.

Education
