Job summary

Labcorp, Roanoke, VA, seeks a Phlebotomy Team Leader to oversee phlebotomy operations across multiple sites. This role requires supervision of staff, coverage travel, training, and ensuring quality service for patients and clients.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in phlebotomy, leadership experience, strong customer service, and excellent communication skills. A valid driver's license and color vision testing are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent; 3+ years phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy certification or accredited training required.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• Be at least 21 years old; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage and travel to various sites to perform phlebotomy duties
• Assist in the supervision of a team of phlebotomists covering multiple Patient Service Centers & client sites
• Observe new employee performance and report observations to the supervisor
• Manage and monitor patient flow, wait times, inventory levels and information logs
• Provide continuous training to phlebotomy staff as directed
• Complete new hire and annual competency assessments when necessary
• Promote teamwork and effective communication among coworkers
• Perform all duties of a phlebotomist and site coordinator as needed
