Job summary

Mass General Brigham's phlebotomy team at 15 Parkman Street is seeking a Phlebotomy Lead to manage workflow, supervise staff, and ensure safe, compliant operations across the department. This is onsite, full-time with a 40-hour week and rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree not required; role requires relevant phlebotomy lead experience.
• Phlebotomy Technician National Certification required; state driver’s license preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience as a phlebotomy lead or in a supervisory lead role.
• Knowledge of phlebotomy regulatory requirements and quality data reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manages direct report staff, including scheduling, interviewing, evaluating performance and productivity, and staff meetings.
• Implements and maintains policies and procedures for compliance and safe operation of phlebotomy services.
• Supports and monitors customer and employee service expectations.
• Collects and provides department quality data to Laboratory Quality Assurance or required entities.
• Responsible for timely and accurate payroll functions.
