Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a phlebotomy trainee-ready candidate to assist with blood collection at community sites. You will help create a welcoming donor experience, transport and set up equipment, and follow safety procedures to ensure safe transfusion to hospitals.

Starting pay is $22.89 per hour with a pathway to grow your healthcare skills within a respected humanitarian organization. A high school diploma and customer service skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Connect with donors and explain the impact of donation.
• Collaborate with teammates to keep donors comfortable and coming back.
• Be detail-oriented to ensure collected blood meets goals and regulatory standards.
• Assist with setting up/teardown equipment; may drive Red Cross vehicles.
• Must meet the 60-inch height requirement for vehicle operation.
