Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking individuals to join our team as phlebotomists with paid training. You will assist with donor care, help transport and set up equipment at collection sites, and ensure safety procedures are followed to deliver lifesaving blood donations to hospitals.

Starting wage is $17.83/hour with comprehensive benefits. High school diploma and valid driver's license required; strong customer service and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills required.
• Current valid driver’s license with good driving record required.
• Physical requirements include lifting/pushing heavy weights, long hours, and schedule flexibility.
• Minimum height of 60 inches may be required to operate vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Connect with donors and explain the impact of donation.
• Create a welcoming environment so donors return.
• Ensure blood collection meets regulatory requirements and safety standards.
• Assist with setting up/tearing down equipment at donation sites; may drive Red Cross vehicles.
