Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Phlebotomy training completed.
• Preferred six months’ phlebotomy experience.
• Valid driver’s license may be required depending on work location.

Responsibilities

• Collect and process patient specimens per laboratory policies and procedures, within required timeframes, on-site or off-site.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area and ensure adequate supplies for efficient laboratory operations.
• Perform laboratory support duties (order entry, registration, specimen receiving) to ensure smooth operations.
• May mentor students in phlebotomy following AHN policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
