• Train and orient new employees, students, and homecare nurses in blood collection procedures.
• Operate the laboratory computer system for job activities.
• Monitor supplies and maintain adequate inventory.
• Package and transport specimens to appropriate departments for processing.
• Answer calls and respond to workflow changes promptly.
• Ensure 100% accurate patient identification.
