Job summary

NYU Langone Florida is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform routine venipuncture and specimen collection, preparing patients and explaining procedures. The role requires accurate labeling, sample handling, and seamless use of the EPIC system for data entry and retrieval.

Ideal candidates will have a Phlebotomy certificate and at least one year of experience, with strong English communication and interpersonal skills to support patient care and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy Certificate and/or Certification in Medical Assisting or equivalent experience.
• One year of Phlebotomy experience performing venipunctures and finger sticks.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine Phlebotomy in a laboratory or patient area following procedures.
• Labels specimens accurately and handles STAT specimens promptly.
• Maintains patient privacy and HIPAA compliance in all interactions.
• Uses EPIC system to review and update patient laboratory records and communicate with team.
