Mercyhealth is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician for Javon Bea Hospital in Rockford, IL. This PRN role collects blood and other specimens, labels specimens accurately, and supports daily lab operations with compassionate patient care.

You will work with HIS and LIS systems, perform tests, ensure specimen integrity, and follow safety and infection control practices. Prior phlebotomy training or experience is preferred and a HS diploma is encouraged.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Successful completion of a phlebotomy course or prior phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Experience as a Paramedic, EMT, CNA or MA is helpful.

• Proficient in using HIS and LIS to release orders and register patients.
• Perform phlebotomy on patients and ensure proper specimen labeling.
• Maintain safety and infection control practices at all times.
