Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
• Phlebotomy certification is required upon hire. BLS certification is required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written formats.

Responsibilities

• Performs specimen collection and patient preparation with correct identification and specimen integrity.
• Labels specimens and prepares samples for transport or analysis.
• Completes registration details including insurance information and billing data entry.
• Maintains quality and accuracy of work and prepares reports for patient and QA purposes.
• Coordinates with physicians and staff to resolve issues and ensure service excellence.
• Maintains laboratory equipment and a clean, safe work environment.
