Job summary

Memorial Health System seeks a Phlebotomist to collect blood samples across hospital areas, label tubes, and maintain supplies. You will operate Mobilab PC and handheld devices, troubleshoot equipment, and assist in training new staff and students.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, BLS certification, and preferred phlebotomy certification. Experience is valued; student phlebotomists enrolled in college/technical programs are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy Certification preferred.
• BLS certification required (will be obtained during orientation).
• Student Phlebotomist must be enrolled in college/technical training.
• Interpersonal and basic clerical skills; ability to read, write, and do math.

Responsibilities

• Obtains blood samples for analysis in all hospital areas.
• Labels tubes accurately and maintains supply stocks.
• Maintains blood bank specimens and bracelets.
• Operates Mobilab PC and handheld devices; troubleshoots when needed.
• Assists training of new phlebotomy staff and students.
• Cleans lab equipment and reviews electronic records as assigned.
