Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Obtains and/or verifies receipt of all venous, arterial or capillary blood specimens as requested; transports the specimens back to the lab.
• Responds to patient emergencies (CPR) to be available to collect specimen when requested.
• Administers dextrose as required for tolerance testing.
• Ensures proper patient identification and specimen handling for analyses.
• Stocks supplies and assists with ordering as needed.
• Transports specimens collected by non-lab personnel to the lab.
